OKEMO MOUNTAIN SCHOOL
APPLICATION AND ADMISSION INFORMATION
ADMISSION POLICY
Admission to Okemo Mountain School is based on the applicant’s current academic, athletic, and extracurricular records.
Applicants must have the ability to handle a demanding academic program and have the desire and drive to become a better skier or snowboarder. Okemo Mountain School is dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination on any basis including race, color, sex, religion, national origin, ancestry, place of birth, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applicants must complete the following and forward the necessary information to the Admissions Committee:
1. $100 Non-refundable application fee
2. Sending school approval letter
3. Application including three handwritten essays
4. Current school transcript including most recent academic quarter
5. Personal interview
6. Immunization records
7. References
8. Competition results
ADMISSIONS SCHEDULE
We accept applications on a rolling basis; however, priority will be given to applications received before April 1, 2013. Once an application is complete, a decision will generally be made within three weeks. The Admissions Committee reserves the right to defer an enrollment decision until after April 1, at which time all remaining applications will be considered and a decision made by May 1, 2013. Any application received after the priority deadline will be considered if space is available. If an applicant is accepted, a non-refundable deposit of $3,000 is required by June 1, 2013 (or within two weeks of notification if later than June 1) to ensure the applicant’s enrollment.
COST AND FINANCIAL AID
The 2012-2013 tuition the five month program is $17,500- $19,250.*
The 2012-2013 tuition for Target Term is $8,100 – $15,800.*
*Rates vary due to length of term and desired choice of enrollment.
Tuition for the 2013-2014 season has not yet been set.
Financial aid applications are available upon request.
SENDING SCHOOL APPROVAL LETTER
Applicant must submit a letter on school letterhead signed by a school administrator stating the school’s support of the student’s admission into Okemo Mountain School.
