Steve grew up in Denver, CO. He was a project engineer for air pollution control systems in power plants for a big architect/engineering firm in Denver and a financial analyst and operations engineer for Exxon. He was also involved with marketing and strategic planning studies for technology firms such as McDonnell Douglas, Dupont, AT&T with AT Kearney Management Consultants based in NYC and Boston and computer systems product marketing and product management for Digital Equipment/Compaq (now part of HP) outside Boston.

Steve began teaching math in 2001 in Woodstock and Lebanon and then worked at Thetford Academy from 2004-2015.  He has experience teaching trigonometry, geometry, algebra 1+2, connected math, pre-algebra, pre-geometry, business math, consumer math, computer skills, applied math, integrated math 1+2; financial literacy and economics.

Steve also has been a ski coach for Quechee and a soccer coach for Dartmouth women’s club team. He rides a bike often, is married to a psychotherapist and NH legislator, and has three children and two grandchildren. Steve is a vocal soloist specializing in lieder and oratorio and the former leader of the Dartmouth Aires. He is also an avid “New York Times” reader.
