Kelly Brush Spin-A-Thon at Fit Day!
We are also excited to announce that, in conjunction with Fit Day and as a part of a national effort, OMS is hosting a "Spin-a-thon" to raise awareness and funds for the Kelly Brush Foundation (KBF) and, specifically, the Stop the Bleed initiative. The Stop the Bleed Spin-a-Thons are being organized by the Kelly Brush Foundation, which last season assembled and distributed more than 650 Bleeding Control Kits and worked to present dozens of instructional clinics. This was in response to an increase in laceration injuries in recent years. The Kelly Brush Foundation has been working for more than a decade to improve safety in ski racing. At Okemo, we have had all head coaches and more, including snowboard and freestyle, attend lifesaving Stop the Bleed Clinics and we have Bleeding Control Kits in the hands of each of these coaches - all thanks to the Kelly Brush Foundation. We believe these steps are important to ensure the safety of all of our snow sports athletes. We have also been grateful recipients of grants for B-netting from KBF and really appreciate all they do!
On September 29th, our goal is to keep the spin bikes in our gym moving for the entire duration of Fit Day! There are a few ways to get involved:
How to Get Involved with the Spin-A-Thon
1) Sign up for as many 20 minute time slots as you want HERE and make a minimum donation of $1/minute of riding you plan to do ($20/time slot) by following the link below. Then encourage your family and friends to support your ride by donating to our OMS/Okemo Comp Center team's effort as well. See more details below.
2) We will also take walk-in participants on the day of the event, but anyone who pre-registers will get an OMS magnet. KBF is also providing cool water bottles, which will be first come, first served and go to pre-registrants first!
3) If you are unable to ride or attend on the 29th, you can still make a donation in support of our OMS/Okemo Comp Center team! A donation of only $40 is enough to support the purchase of a Bleeding Control Kit for a coach, volunteer, or official.

As an additional means of support OMS will be making a donation of 10% of all school stores sales on Fit Day!
