Okemo Mountain School is extremely excited to have the OMS Fitness Facility project underway! The new 5,200 square foot facility will include a strength and conditioning training room, a yoga and recovery room, an in ground trampoline, coaches offices, and athlete locker rooms.  OMS has funding secured to cover the construction, but we need your help to ensure that we have the additional funds necessary to outfit the building with state of the art equipment and to support additional costs associated with such a major project.

We have already raised over $50,000 in cash donations, as well as over $30,000 in yearly pledges for both 2015 and 2016. Furthermore, we have received in-kind donations for labor and materials valued at over $125,000. We are exceedingly grateful for several large gifts we have received; however, a donation in any amount makes a huge impact on the success of this project.

Annual Fund

The Annual fund is imperative for the school so that we are able to keep tuition as low as possible and still hire and retain top notch athletic and academic staff to provide great training and learning opportunities. Currently our operating expenses exceed our program income by about 20% – the difference is made up with our annual fundraising events and efforts such as the Golf Tournament, the Ski Swap, the Winter Festival, and the Spring Fling Raffle. We hope you can consider a gift to the Annual Fund.

OMS Crazy Train Snowboard Park

Okemo Mountain School’s new signature Crazy Train Park proved to be a huge success this year. The Crazy Train Park received accolades from Okemo Mountain Resort and their guests, the USASA Regional Director, and the coaching staff from surrounding winter sports academies as one of the best slopestyle training grounds in Vermont.  Moreover, we saw a tremendous level of improvement in the snowboard and freeski athletes at OMS and in our weekend programs. Many thanks to all the families who provided generous donations to make this park happen this past season.  For a video on the park, please visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2Q9xo0QOAo

In order to keep the momentum going and to update the Crazy Train Park with progressive features each year, our goal is to fabricate 2 new boxes and a rail to be installed in the park for the upcoming season. We also plan to refurbish our current jib fleet by polishing steel, painting, and repairing any wear and tear on the features.

Okemo Mountain School is looking for your support to raise the funds necessary to add new the features to continue to offer a progressive, fresh, and enjoyable park for our OMS athletes in 2016.  If you would like more information and are interested in donating, please see the attached 2016 Crazy Train Park Fundraising Campaign form in addition to a sketch of the new features we are looking to build. A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated!
