Winter Festival Campaign — Okemo Mountain School

Okemo Mountain School is excited to announce the Fourteenth Annual Okemo Mountain School WinterFest and its accompanying fundraising drive. For those of you who are not familiar with Okemo Mountain School (OMS), it is the local ski and snowboard academy in Ludlow. OMS is dedicated to giving committed athletes the opportunity to follow a rigorous academic curriculum while training full time in the snow sport of their choice.

While OMS has close ties to Okemo and the Competition Center, it operates financially as its own entity. Therefore, fundraising events and the generosity of benefactors are vital in supporting the school and its operations. Individual donations, no matter how large or small, are able to have an outstanding impact when used collectively. This year Okemo Mountain School is looking for your support once again to raise the funds necessary to offset operating costs and continue to build the program. The money raised from this drive will support coach and teacher salaries, equipment purchases, and student scholarships.

Keeping Okemo Mountain School strong benefits the entire OMARA membership. OMS provides unique opportunities to all Okemo athletes – those who participate in the Competition Center programs and those who choose to also attend OMS. Such opportunities include winter on-snow camps, special training trips with academic support, summer on-snow and dry land camps, mid-week speed training, and coaching support at mid-week races and competitions for all athletes. OMS supports a full time coaching staff that also works with the Competition Center on the weekends.

We hope that we can count on your support in this fundraising campaign. Okemo Mountain School is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational institution and all donations are tax deductible. A contribution in any amount is greatly appreciated.

In order to be recognized at the Winterfest Fundraiser event, your donation must be received by Friday, January 12th. Hope to see you all at the OMS Winterfest on Saturday, February 3rd from 7-10 pm at Outer Limits Brewing!
