OMS Summer Leadership Internship

About the internship program

The Summer Leadership Internship is an application-based opportunity to gain formal training and experience for rising 8th graders and above. Accepted applicants will complete a three-day training course to receive a CPR / First Aid certification, develop age-appropriate camp curriculum, and receive rock climbing belay and mountain bike maintenance training. This program is free of cost!

New Interns: Must commit to helping out the Three Maples Day Camp for two weeks.

Returning interns: Can choose to help out for one or more weeks of Three maples Day Camp.

You will receive your certifications following your completion of your commitment. Internship and Community Service credit available! This experience looks great on college applications and resumes, when applying to scholarships, and will allow you to gain valuable life and leadership skills.

June 26 - 28, 2024

Choose Two Weeks to Complete Internship

Week 1: July 8 - 12

Week 2: July 15 - 19

Week 3: July 22 - 26

Week 4: July 29 - August 2

Week 5: August 5 - 9

Week 6: August 12 - 16

Week 7: August 19 - 23

Training Topics

CPR / First Aid Certification, Rock Climbing Belay Class, Basic Bike Maintenance, Camp Curriculum Development & Practice, Facility Set up, etc.

  2. Obtain one letter of recommendation (NEW applicants ONLY!)

  3. Complete a phone interview with our Director

Applications will be accepted on a running basis. The earlier you apply, the better chance you will have to receive your preferred camp weeks.

Updated Vaccine Policy

As of June 2024, Okemo Mountain School no longer requires vaccination against COVID-19. However, Okemo Mountain School highly encourages annual flu shots and COVID-19 boosters for all student- athletes, camp participants, faculty, and staff.

The Okemo Mountain School Board of Directors will regularly review this policy and reserves the right to revise said policy as needed to stay in line with state and/or national public health recommendations.
